We are delighted to see this one up on bioRxiv. Using 2p imaging and photolabelling we characterized RGCs in larval zebrafish. We find that RGCs across the eye are both structurally and functionally highly asymmetric, and capture plenty of interesting specializations that help the animal navigate it’s sensory ecological niche.
